Hello my loves and welcome back to yet another beauty post.
I have bad and good news, let’s start with the good okay? I got myself a L’Oréal Professionnel Steampod 3.0 which is an absolute dream.
The bed one is that I recently lost my L’Oréal Professionnel Steampod 2.0 to Bond’s (which is my monster dog) baby teeth. I have to say it’s my fault for keeping the most precious straightener under the bed where he can easily access it, but when we started moving in November my head was so full and I had no idea where have I put it.
So just about 1 month ago I found myself in tears because first of all, I really cherish my things and I never take anything for granted, I purchased my first L’Oréal Professionnel Steampod 2.0 with my own money, and let me say it’s not the cheapest so when I found him chewing the cord, my heart dropped.
Now let’s shine a light on the good news which is L’Oréal Professionnel Steampod 3.0. I have to say I like the upgrade that they did on this one. The straightener on its own is slimmer which is a plus and the most important thing that I really missed with the 2.0 was 360 rotation.
It was a bit awkward doing curls with 2.0 because you couldn’t turn it the proper way and you got stuck in the middle of a curl. At least I was.
Another thing that I’m absolutely obsessed with is that it already has a little water tank that’s actually built-in. 2.0 Steampod had yet another cord attached to it where the water was so that was a challenge on its own. It actually took so much space and it looked bulky, while 3.0 looks much more elegant and doesn’t come with another water tank that will take space.
I absolutely loved using 2.0 mostly for curling my hair, I swear to you it was the first straightener where I learned how to actually do curls with.
Before that, I thought that doing curls with a straightener is witchcraft hahaha. I just couldn’t wrap my head around how in the world can people do curls with a straightener. No matter how many videos I watched it just didn’t have any type of effect on my hair. I have no idea why, maybe they were just far too long. But as soon as I picked this one I immediately had the most beautiful curls that lasted until the next wash.
The most amazing thing about Steampod, in general, is that it prevents hair damage by 70%. And that was the initiative why I got it in the first place. To feel carefree when doing your curls is a blessing and I do them all the time because I love that my hair looks almost like I went to the saloon and did a blow out there.
