I seriously don’t know how to explain this post. I will start by saying that I always have been and I always will be deeply and utterly in love with Dolce and Gabbana’s adverts. ❤ This is the kind of love that’s unbreakable. Every single photo tells you a story, which for me is the most important element in photography and I LOVE how colorful and how passionate are the models in it + I know the quality in photos screams HD ?
There is probably ton of screaming on the set since there are gazillion people running around, taking places but the final result is just breathtaking! ? There are so many candid moments and you know how I feel about candid moments!! ❤I love their Sicilian vibe, I love how their advertisements always involve diversity. As you can see from the photos below, there’s always some grandma smiling because she has no idea what the hell is going on, there are always some kids playing or making trouble, and then we have the male figure. I can’t stress enough about how much I love the male attention in every single photo. Their admiration and passion towards female figure is just…. I have no words, like seriously. ❤ And then we have the female figure, which is perfectly aware of how gorgeous she is but she just doesn’t care, and she’s giving all the male models a side eye. ? I also love colors, I’m obsessed with colors and the whole set on every photo. They are sooooo Italian, so what’s not to love about that?
Every person has something or someone to look up to. When I was younger I look up to Marsupalami or The PowerPuff Girls, like every other child feminist.? But today I look up to magnificent photographers like Mario Testino, Annie Leibovitz, Tim Walker, Margaret Zhang, Sasha Samsonova and so on. Why am I enumerating this and how this connectes to Dolce and Gabbana? The last campaign for Dolce and Gabbana shot Nima Benati who is 24 years old Italian photographer. Can you imagine being only 24 years old and slaying that hard? ? Here are her photos ❤
I have so much love and support for young artists. If you want to be a photographer, JUST BE! I have been through so much sh*t in these past few years, from sarcastic remarks like:” Oh, so you’re a ‘’photographer’’ too?” to being told I will never be as good as other Slovenian photographers. I don’t know who gave you the right to say who is and who isn’t photographer? Are you some kind of photography police or something? I’m an emotional wreck, so you can imagine how many tears, screaming and also how many attempts on giving up on photography backdrops has there been, SPOILER: a whole lot! ? But I managed to put those remarks on the side and start making my own path in photography. Photography is such a subjective thing, there’s always 50:50 chance in it. People will either love it or hate it but it really is up to you. Be passionate about what you do, make a plan, if you have a chance, go and get yourself a team, or just be a multi-tasker like I am and be a stylist, makeup artist and everything in between yourself. ?Don’t you ever give up on what you’re passionate about, remember that!! ❤
I hope I inspired you today to get your ass together, pick up your camera and go eternalizing moments, NO EXCUSES! The only excuse is bad weather, you can’t control the weather! ☺️
In the future, I will hopefully do inspired Dolce and Gabbana shoot, can’t wait for all the screaming and layer masking! ?
